Come Around
03:22
|
|||
When you wanna come around, I'll try to be around.
You're not always here, and I'm not always there.
I tell you it hurts when it seems you don't care.
Not all the things that we say, or the things that we do,
could make us believe that our love is true.
Real life is so hard. It's not as you please.
Let the guard down. We want to be at ease.
I know we're not so shy, and we're not so dumb,
that we want to let go. I always want you to come.

Heroin Kid
02:40
|

Heroin kid, you're someone's son.
I don't know what you did, but I see what you've become.
What if I helped you out and you overdosed
on the junk you bought with my money?
I know I might never find out, but man that wouldn't be cool.
So I don't know what to do to help you.
Heroin kid, you're back on board.
No one on the train can make you cut the cord.
What if I helped you out and you overdosed
on the junk you bought with my money?
I know I might never find out, but man that wouldn't be cool.
So I don't know what to do to help you.
Heroin kid, I thought you were dead.
But here you are again, with all those spots on your head.
What if you straightened up and you didn't
need to find a way to make your next score?
I know that might not be realistic,
but man I think it'd be cool if I could see you here looking healthy.
I'd like to see you here looking healthy.

Go Outside

|

When you're losing your mind, go outside and find it.
When your life forgot why, take the time to remind it.

Through the Wringer
03:30
|
|||
I know it's not realistic to consider actually picking up all the pieces.
I try to follow my own advice.
We showed up sopping wet and we've all been through the wringer.
Now we're all nice and dry here, if not without our wrinkles.
The frame was looking good, then you came into the picture.
And now you're all I see, and I think I'm better for it.
Give me one good reason to not make it my business,
to not go to your party, or let me leave there with you.
Just give me one good reason.
